Why Invest in Bahrain
Bahrain remains one of the most open economies in the GCC, attracting international investors with its business-friendly regulations, competitive operating costs, strategic access to GCC markets, and opportunities across fintech, manufacturing, logistics, real estate, and other high-growth sectors.
Strategic Gulf location with direct access to Saudi Arabia via the King Fahd Causeway and wider GCC market access.
Up to 100% foreign ownership is available across most business activities through a W.L.L. company that may be owned by one or more shareholders.
No personal income tax and generally 0% corporate income tax for most businesses.
Lower operating costs than several neighbouring Gulf markets.
A supportive regulatory environment led by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Central Bank of Bahrain.

Investor Visas in Bahrain
Once your Commercial Registration is active, we support your application for a Bahrain investor visa through the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA). We first register your company with LMRA. The applicant then completes a medical check at a designated LMRA center, pays the required fees, and receives an ID card. Standard work permit fees are BD205 per person per year, renewable for one or two years. Eligible investors can also sponsor family members once the visa is in place, and we manage renewals alongside your annual Commercial Registration cycle so nothing is missed.
Tax and Timeline
Bahrain has no personal income tax at all, so residents keep their full salary with no tax brackets or filing obligations. Corporate income tax is generally 0% for most businesses, except oil and gas companies, which pay 46% on net profits.
Since January 2025, a 15% Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax applies to large multinational groups with global revenue of EUR 750 million or more. VAT is charged at the standard rate of 10%. Bahrain remains one of the most tax-friendly jurisdictions in the Gulf, with no general foreign exchange controls or restrictions on the repatriation of capital and profits.
Most straightforward company and investment structures are completed within 2 to 3 weeks. Businesses requiring approval from the Central Bank of Bahrain typically take a minimum of 3 months, as the CBB review process alone usually takes at least 2 months.
